Die-cut vs round stickers: which cut to order
Order a die-cut sticker when you want the vinyl cut around your artwork, with a thin white contour. Order a round, square, oval or rectangle sticker when you want a classic label for jars, boxes or bags. Die-cut adds 20% at Lama Gifts Corner because the cutter follows your design.
What die-cut means
A die-cut (also called contour cut) follows the outline of your logo or text. The leftover vinyl is removed, so the sticker is the shape of the design. We add a white contour by default so the cut has a clean edge. That is the look most brands use on laptops, bottles and gift wrap.
When a round or square label is better
Use a fixed shape for product lids, thank-you seals, address labels and anything that must sit in a tidy grid on a sheet. Round 3 cm and 5 cm stickers are the usual choice for jars and bottles. Rectangle works for thank-you strips and name labels.
Kiss-cut vs die-cut
Kiss-cut slices the vinyl only, so stickers stay on a square backing until you peel them. Die-cut goes through vinyl and backing, so each sticker is a separate piece. Our designer’s die-cut option is the second kind: individual stickers cut to your art. If you need a sheet of kiss-cut stickers, message us on WhatsApp after you place the order.
